Treehouse Club is wraparound care for families.
Wraparound Care
At Fir Tree, we pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality wrap around care package for our pupils and their families. We appreciate that many parents have to work and consequently, are unable to drop-off and pick-up their children from school. Our Treehouse and Squirrel Clubs provide excellent, affordable childcare outside of the normal school hours.
Breakfast Club is run between 7:45-8:30am and After School Club is run between 3:10-6:00pm daily. Both our wraparound care clubs are run by school support staff who already know the children well from their work in classes around the school.
Before School – Treehouse Club
From 7:45am to 8:30am each morning, Mr Hosier and Mrs Roberts organise the breakfast club in the school hall for any children from Reception to Year 6 attending the school. Each session costs £4.00 per pupil. Children will be offered a selection of breakfast foods and drinks along with the opportunity to play inside or outside, draw, colour in, use the computers, visit the library or complete homework. If you are interested in your child attending, please speak to the school office.
You can book termly in advance by completing one of our booking forms. However, we do know that sometimes care may be needed daily or weekly therefore ad-hoc sessions are also available. You will be charged as and when you use the club, via ArborPay.
After School - Squirrel Club
The After School Squirrel Club runs from 3.10 pm to 6.00 pm daily. Children are first welcomed with a drink and a snack, some regular items include sandwiches, wraps, pasta, yogurts, cheese and biscuits or fruit Water is always freely available and we sometimes also offer squash. The children can then choose from a range of exciting activities. When the weather is dry, we like to stay out as much as we can and utilise the school field, amazing adventure playground, Multi Use Games Area and trim trail. In addition, the children can play football, cricket, rounders and other sports. Indoor activities include: various games, puzzles, colouring, painting, quizzes, coding, table tennis, movies, and we have use of the ICT trolley. During the afternoon session, staff are also on hand to support children with their homework activities.
