SEND - Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

At Fir Tree Primary School, we take pride in reflecting the diversity of the community of our pupils. Pupils on the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) register receive tailored interventions for their additional needs. These interventions are always discussed with all the relevant stakeholders involved, including and most importantly, the pupils themselves.

The staff, Governors, pupils and parents work together to make Fir Tree Primary School a happy working place, where children and adults can develop into confident and successful learners who are ready to meet the challenges of the future. By consistently focusing on the quality of teaching and learning at Fir Tree Primary School, all groups of children are given the opportunity to develop and meet their potential including those who have been identified as having additional needs. We are committed to narrowing the attainment and progress gaps between SEND and non-SEND pupils.

If your child has a special educational need and/or disability and you would like to speak to the Special Educational Needs Coordinator, then please contact the SENDCo, Mrs Michelle Pearse, on 01635 42129 or email mpearse@firtree.newburyacademytrust.org
